- Responsibilities
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for maintaining quality assurance processes, testing of products, recording, and analyzing results gathered during production.
- Job Duties
- Required to perform all quality related functions in Primary and Secondary production areas.
- Verify that materials are in conjunction with Job and Quality traveler prior to starting machine.
- Perform and accurately record quality checks during production.
- Ability to operate delicate quality testing instrumentation.
- Monitor production process and identify any quality process trends and correct as needed.
- Complete Non-Conformance Reports for defective products and materials.
- Communicate quality issues with Quality Control Manager and Production Supervisor.
- Inspect, verify, and document that finished goods meet established standards.
- Perform incoming inspection of raw materials to validate product meets specifications.
- Effectively communicate with production regarding adjustments needed to correct quality defects.
- Assist with preparation of documents during audits.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Quality Control Manager or Secondary Manager.
- Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certificate or experience in related field preferred.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hour shift.
- Excellent attention to detail required.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Preferred tobacco manufacturing experience a plus.
