Food & Beverage Manager Position Overview

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for all food and beverage production and service for the club. Train and directly supervise the food and beverage employees (bartenders, servers, bussers, food runners, and host/hostesses). Assure the wants and needs of club members and guests are consistently exceeded. Daily Responsibilities

• Hands on management of the daily operation of the Club’s restaurants.
• Train and manage all food and beverage employees.
• Create and adjust staff schedules to meet club needs.
• Oversee guest services and resolve issues.
• Inspects to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance and other standards are consistently met.
• Assures that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are in place and consistently utilized.
• Ensures that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to including wage and hour and federal, state and local laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages; assures that all applicable club policies and procedures are followed.
• Communicating with the catering and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
• Interact with members and their guests, providing responsive service and develop awareness of members’ likes and preferences.
• Maintain communication with all departments to ensure member service needs are met.
• Maintain confidentiality of members and club information.
• Ensure that member and employee areas are maintained in a safe and secure environment.
• Monitors employee dress codes according to policies and procedures.
• Performs all other duties as directed by immediate supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must be service oriented with a great attention to detail.
• Ability to work with a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent conflict resolution skills.
• Must possess an understanding of private club style and F&B service with an emphasis on knowing member’s preferences.
• Ability to supervise staff, including assignment of duties, evaluating service, and conducting disciplinary action as required.
• Must be dedicated to the position, the Club and the industry.
• Must be motivated to get the job done no matter what obstacles appear.
• Excellent inter-personnel skills required with a positive professional demeanor.
• Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
• Must have a strong desire to succeed.
