TRAINING
We train everything you'll need to know, just bring your interest!
This position will support arboriculture related activities within the Forestry section, such as watering, pruning of trees and shrubs, fertilizing, removing trees and shrubs, and various routine maintenance tasks with other public works department sections.
Seasonal employment: Work stability and great hours for a morning person! Get off early before the 9-5ers. Avoid rush hours.
- 40hrs/week
- 6:30am-3pm
- 9 months per year (Typically April-Dec)
- Rate increase anticipated May 1

- Assists in the operation and maintenance of equipment such as, pickup trucks, one-ton and five-ton dump trucks, front end loader and backhoe
- Watering, pruning, fertilizing, and spraying of trees and shrubs
- Engage in natural resource management by participating in prescribed burning and other natural areas management practices
- Work independently or with a crew
- Be able to communicate professionally with residents and staff
- At least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license
- Sound physical condition in order to perform heavy manual work in all types of weather
- Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools, preferred
