The Opportunity
Lake Leaf Cultivation offers a dynamic and engaging environment where you will have the opportunity to work in on-site cannabis cultivation. As a Lead Cultivation Technician, you will lead a team in plant production and growth, ensuring the highest quality product through stringent quality control measures. You will work closely with the Assistant Grower and Management team to oversee daily plant care activities, cleanliness and efficiency of the production area, and adhere to both state and Mille Lacs Band standards. What You Get to Do
Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the cultivation department
Ensures the cultivation team adheres to a rigorous schedule ensuring actions are done accurately and in a timely manner
Lead and train Cultivation Techs to get projects done and maintain those schedules
Monitor, maintain, and supervise all plant inventory, labor, and materials needed for production
Responsible for overseeing new Associate training
Coordinates weekly restock of room supplies, or as needed
Maintains and monitors all plant growth data
Leads daily shift meetings, communicating updates to team as needed
Reports to the Assistant Grower all activities within the department to review potential improvements or adjustments to operational / growth plans
Tends to the plants including watering, potting, training, and movement of plant material and green waste
Performs regular quality assessments in all growth areas for signs of disease and/or infestation, and records data
Ensures plants are labeled and that an accurate inventory, is maintained at all times
Records all activities in state mandated computer system, if requested by Assistant Grower
Perform stripping and grinding of cannabis materials
Maintains the cleanliness of all assigned areas
Responsible for light to medium maintenance of growing systems including pipes, pumps, lights, and HVAC
Responsible for application of nutrients as well as recording of application as determined by the Assist Grower
Responsible for maintaining a Pesticide Applicator Certification if requested by the Assistant Grower, as well as the application of pesticides as directed by the Assistant Grower
Able to work independently as well as operating as part of a team
Adhere to strict sanitation practices throughout the facility
Other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operation of cultivation

What Qualifies You
Must be 21 years of age or older
Two-year degree in horticulture or related field preferred.
Two years of experience in general gardening production, preferably a regulated field producing for human consumption.
Or any satisfactory combination of experience and training that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the above duties.
Preferred knowledge of cannabis law, and horticulture skills.

Reside within a distance that allows for a regular on-site presence.
Work Environment
