Lake Mead Christian Ministries (LMCM) Minister - Health Aide
Job Type : Full Time
Department : Health Services (Security)
Reports to : Schoool RN / Health Services Coordinator
Compensation : $25,560 to $27,264 (10 month position)
Job Summary : Assists the school nurse by providing basic first aid, managing student health, providing care for injury / illness, and helping to maintain a safe and healthy school environment.
Essential Job Functions :
- Administers medication
- Provides basic first aid
- Assists and monitors students with illness
- Documents injury or illness events
- Communicates with parents and support staff
- Assists with emergencies
- Promotes health education
- Maintains confidentiality
- Assists at student events for first aid availability
Qualifications :
Must be CPR / AED & first aid certified by start date, if not alreadyExperience / Knowledge :
Previous medical experience highly preferred (Medical Assistant, CNA)Must be comfortable assisting with illness and injuriesMust be comfortable with blood and other body fluidsAbility to think criticallyGood time management skillsAbility to multi-taskAbility to remain calm in stressful situationsComfortable with computer documentation / computer literateMust be comfortable caring for students varying in age from toddler to adolescenceBenefits : Benefits :
