Night Patrolman (on-vessel security)
This shipboard position works under the direction of the Mate on watch and is responsible for making rounds of 15 punch clock stations. Is also responsible to check all Fire-Safe doors. Ability to be alert of all surroundings while maintaining a pleasant demeanor with passengers; reporting any suspicious activity to the Mate on Watch. Candidates must have the ability to climb flights of stairs several times in one evening. The Patrolman is required to hold or have the ability to obtain a USCG Merchant Mariner Credential and a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). Starting pay for this position is $14.35 p/hour. Benefits include 401K, holiday pay and a season-end bonus of .50 per hour for every hour worked.
