About this position :
LMCU is looking for a Bilingual (Spanish) Consumer Default Counselor to preserve the Credit Union’s assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments and / or recovering collateral.
What you’ll do :
Contact delinquent accounts by phone and mail; take appropriate action to bring current.
Analyze financial situation of delinquent borrowers; make recommendations to repossess collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful.
Maintain accurate files and reports on all collections activity.

One to three years of similar or related experience. Prior experience working for a credit union is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
