About this position :
LMCU is looking for a Payroll Manager who is responsible for the overall LMCU payroll function ensuring it is paid timely, accurately following all city, state and federal laws.
What you’ll do :
Works closely with Application Support to Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, commission / incentives, benefits, 401k, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training payroll staff. Oversees the daily workflow of each payroll employee, ensuring that timelines are met, and work is done accurately.
Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
Maintains job prole set-up and reporting structure with supervisory organization maintenance in HRIS.
Facilitates the advanced compensation processing for merit and bonus cycles.
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices including but not limited to quarterly reporting to agencies.
Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.

What You’ll Bring :
Five years to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required
CPP Preferred
Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
Proficient with payroll software. Prior WorkDay experience preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
