About this position:
The Small Business Lending Underwriter will be responsible for conducting a complete review of all loan applications including an in-depth analysis of our members' credit and financial information.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee the Small Business Lending credit process and analysis for each assigned credit request from date of loan request through loan decisioning.
- Complete thorough reviews of applicants’ credit along with all Business and Personal Tax returns.
- Approve, disapprove, or forward the loan request to higher levels for decision.
- Interview Members regarding their loan applications to ensure all information relating to credit and financial review has been obtained..
- Assist in the monitoring of loans to ensure loans remain in compliance & report discrepancies or loan defaults to management.
- Prepare and/or review all loan documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Participate in sales development activities.
- Assist management as needed.
- Authorize release of collateral on existing loans, changes in loan terms, waivers of
payments, due date change, etc.
What You’ll Bring:
- Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
- A high school degree or equivalent
- A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required.
