Job Description

Bath & Racquet and Nona Crew Lead Counselor

Reports to: Youth Activities Manager & Director of Fitness & Wellness

FLSA Status: Part Time Hourly/Non-Exempt

Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the Youth Activities Manager with all duties related to youth activities at the club included but not limited to set-up, event implementation and clean up. Supervising our younger members in a safe nurturing way is essential to job function. 

Schedule: Thursday’s 3:00pm – 8:30pm, Friday’s 3:00pm – 10:00pm, Saturday: 9:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m., Sunday’s 9:00am – 5:00pm.

Job Tasks/Duties

· Assist with set-up and decoration of all events

· Assists in creating the schedule for Nona Crew Counselors

· Responsible for proper execution of Nona Crew events when manager not present

· Assists the Youth Activities manager in filing and documenting all necessary reports of the operation.

· Ensures Nona Crew & Bath & Racquet attendants stay in their appropriate areas working their designated shifts.

· Greets members and guests in a professional friendly way

· Ensure knowledge of all safety and first aid protocol procedures

· Ensures knowledge of company policies and procedures as it refers to Nona Crew department

· Supervises children when in our care and adheres to all rules regarding our younger members

·  Assists parents when signing their children in and out, including checking identification when necessary

· Handles proper care of all materials for events and stores them after

· Ensures knowledge of all children, allergies, special needs, and staff during events while in our care

· Communicates with and informs Youth Activities Manager of any unforeseen circumstances and reacts appropriately

· Moves furniture when necessary ie: Kid tables and chairs 

· Maintains confidentiality as it relates to our member’s family information

· Perform routine safety checks of areas for events before we begin

·  Attends all department staff meetings and trainings

· Engages each child during activity time

· Assists in walking Bath & Racquet areas during shift

· Ensures all areas within Bath & Racquet are maintained and cleaning tasks are completed

· Assist with all other duties as needed or directed by senior management

Requirements

Essential Requirements & Qualifications

• 3 years of Child Care experience, preferably in   a Leadership Position
• High School education or equivalent required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be willing to get CPR  certified early into employment
• Knowledge of office equipment
• A friendly outgoing demeanoris a plus
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• This position includes (long periods of) balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting,      grasping, feeling and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in hot conditions & outdoors for long  periods of time.
• Must be physically able to do assigned work as outlined above.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
