Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Science Teacher to join our educational team. Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to various learning styles.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through standardized testing and other assessment tools.
- Provide academic advising and support to students, helping them set educational goals and develop study strategies.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the planning of interdisciplinary projects and school events.
- Engage in continuous professional development, including research on effective teaching practices and participation in higher education teaching workshops.
- Support students with special education needs by adapting lessons and providing additional resources as necessary.
- Conduct proofreading of student work to enhance writing skills and ensure academic integrity.
- Utilize research laboratory resources when applicable, integrating hands-on learning experiences into the curriculum.
- Foster a love for mathematics by teaching geometry concepts in an engaging manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Valid teaching certification for high school education.
- Experience in private school settings is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and classroom dynamics.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in utilizing technology for educational purposes, including virtual learning platforms.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community to support student success.
