Position: Assistant Manager / Leasing Agent – Multifamily Apartment Complex
Location: On-site at 2974 Coppercreek Rd, Saint Louis, MO 63136
Reports to: General Manager and Property Manager
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30:AM to 4:30 PM
Job Summary:
The Multifamily Assistant Manager / Leasing Agent plays a crucial role in supporting the property management team by assisting General Manager and Property Manager with leasing and office-related tasks, providing excellent customer service to tenants, and facilitating the leasing process. This role involves touring prospective tenants, onboarding new tenants, assisting with delinquencies, addressing technical and ledger inquiries, and preparing and reviewing leases.
Key Responsibilities:
Lease Preparation and Onboarding:
- Process rental applications, conduct background checks, and verify applicant information.
- Conduct property tours for prospective tenants, highlighting property features and attractivenes.
- Prepare and review lease agreements for new tenants, ensuring accuracy and compliance with property policies and regulations.
- Explain lease terms, conditions, and any applicable fees to prospective tenants.
- Assist in the tenant onboarding process, including move-in inspections, lease signings, and providing information about property and policies.
- Facilitate a smooth transition for new tenants, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Entering leases into the Property Management system, handling deposits and ledgers.
- Assist in marketing efforts, including online listings and social media posts to attract new residents.
- Processing move-outs, final payments, and deposit returns
Delinquency Management:
- Assist the manager in tracking and addressing rent delinquencies.
- Communicate with tenants regarding outstanding balances, payment options, and timelines for resolution.
- Collaborate with the manager to implement appropriate actions in accordance with property policies.
Technical and Ledger Management:
- Respond to tenant inquiries related to technical issues, utilities, and ledgers.
- Provide accurate and timely information to tenants, addressing concerns and resolving issues effectively.
- Managing property vacancy listings
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in leasing and property management, with a focus on multifamily properties.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Property Management IT Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of local housing regulations, leasing laws, and property management best practices.
- Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
