We are seeking a dedicated Job Coach (Direct Support Professional) to join our team. This role focuses on providing personalized support and guidance to individuals with disabilities in achieving their employment goals. You will work closely with clients, helping them develop skills, understand workplace culture, and navigate challenges to maintain and thrive in their jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-the-job coaching and support to individuals in workplace settings.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized employment plans.
- Support clients in building soft and technical job skills, including communication, time management, and task completion.
- Collaborate with employers to ensure a supportive work environment.
- Help clients understand workplace expectations and procedures.
- Facilitate problem-solving and conflict resolution when challenges arise at work.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes on clients’ performance and development.
- Advocate for clients' needs and rights in the workplace.
- Attend training and team meetings to stay current with best practices in job coaching and disability services.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Computer experience preferred.
- Certification in developmental disabilities preferred. Must be willing to meet certification requirements for the position.
- Must be able to perform CPR, AED, First Aid upon certification.
- Must be able to implement Therapeutic Response Techniques.
- Must be able to occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and lift 10 lbs. overhead.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and squat frequently throughout shift.
