What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional (DSP) position at Lake Region Corporation?
Lake Region Corporation is looking to fill a part time, every other weekend position. This position will work along with another staff member from 7:00 am - 8:00pm providing support to four (4) individuals.
Included with this position:
- $500.00 sign on bonus
- No training required - we will train you on the job!

Under the direction of the Residential Coordinator,the duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist and support people to:
- develop and maintain social roles
- make informed choices
- realize their goals
- Advocate for people with disabilities and teach others by modeling positive attitudes with respectful communication and interactions.
- Accurate, unbiased and consistent documentation.
- Medication administration
- Hygiene assistance
- Meal prep assistance
- Assisting individuals to attend community events
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid drivers license preferred.
- Computer experience preferred.
- Certification in developmental disabilities preferred. Must be willing to meet certification requirements for the position.
- Must be able to perform CPR, AED, First Aid upon certification.
- Must be able to implement Therapeutic Response Techniques.
- Must be able to occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and lift 10 lbs. overhead.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and squat frequently throughout shift.
