Description
The purpose of this position is to provide nursing care to patients. The framework for practice will be the nursing process in order to prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care. The RN has contact with patients, patient families and visitors, LRH employees, referral agencies, volunteers, administration, and physicians. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. The RN must be able to supervise patient care, secure cooperation from others, problem-solve, and exercise initiative and judgement.
Department Description:

We deliver around 325 babies each year in our Level II nursery. We care for the pediatric and gynecologic needs of our area as well. The wide variety of patients we care for brings something new to each day! When you join our team, you join a team who really loves what they do! We are seeking candidates who have at least one year of Medical/Surgical experience or experience with labor and delivery. We provide extensive orientation to welcome new team members to our area!
Shifts:
32 Hours Biweekly, Day/Night, 12 hour shifts, every 3rd weekend.

Compensation:
The pay range for the RN position is $37.68-$57.45. BSN adds $1.00/hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.

Qualifications
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities.
- Education/Special Skills: To perform in this position requires the incumbent to be a graduate of a school of nursing with current licensure in Minnesota. PALS and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications are required, or to be obtained with one year. S.T.A.B.L.E. renewed every 5 years. This position requires current Healthcare Provider level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within 6 months. NRP certification upon hire or must be obtained within 6 months.
- Fetal Heart Monitoring beginner course to be obtained prior to labor and delivery orientation; intermediate course to be obtained within 2 years of practice; advanced course to be obtained after 5 years of practice.
- Six months of medical/surgical experienced preferred; obstetric/nursery, triage, and pediatric experience preferred.
- Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required.
- Must be able to attend the work site per schedule.
Salary : $38 - $57
