What are the responsibilities and job description for the Biology Teacher position at Lake Region Union High School?
Lake Region Union High School is seeking a Secondary Science teacher with a passion for the Life Sciences who is experienced with the NGSS Framework for building and implementing inquiry-based learning opportunities. Assignments would include teaching sophomore Biology along with additional electives dependent on candidate qualifications. Looking for someone with a willingness to take on the challenge of working with a diversity of learners at various academic levels. Expectations include engaging and collaborating with a five person department and sharing classroom spaces and resources while navigating both proficiency-based and traditional grading platforms in a 90 minute x 90 day block schedule.
The Orleans Central Supervisory Union is comprised of two school districts (Lake Region Union Elementary-Middle School and Lake Region Union High School) supporting six K-8 elementary schools, the Orleans Central Early Childhood Program, and Lake Region Union High School.
