What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician-APP Onboarding Specialist position at Lake Regional Health System?
This position, within Medical Staff Services, will manage the physician and APP onboarding efforts for all specialties that hold medical staff privileges at Lake Regional Health System. Serves as the subject-matter expert for those specialties by partnering with the hiring leaders to identify onboarding needs from acceptance through the first year. These needs include process and workflow for credentialing/privileging, relocation, orientation, ability to be “day 1 ready” and on-site orientation. Maintains a relationship with the hiring team and new physician/APP to follow the onboarding through the first year to ensure a seamless experience. The specialist will also assist in related hospital systems education for the Provider and maintain the CME program through the Missouri State Medical Association. The position will obtain constant feedback from Providers, as well as institutional leaders, to evaluate the program and institute improvements with the goal of providing optimal onboarding, education, and support.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Provider onboarding and training, including the creation and update of any training materials.
- Rounding with new providers in clinics and hospital
- Demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of the need for customer satisfaction, provides patient-focused services, and is responsive to the needs of all customers
- Maintains provider licensing and board certification tracking system
- Coordinate medical staff departmental meetings
- Engages in creating and maintaining a positive, ethical, and productive department and workplace that contributes to achieving progress on LRHS culture and strategic initiatives.
- Provides swift and appropriate feedback to needs and inquiries that arise from Providers, management, staff, and fellow team members.
- Represents Department & Organization in a professional manner, both internally and externally.
- Participates in Multi-disciplinary and Department Teams.
- Assists with complaint resolutions and maintains professional attitude and behavior.
- Shall be able to function in this capacity with minimal direction or oversight. Responds to change with open communication and a willing attitude. Possesses the ability to work with other hospital departments in a collaborative manner.

Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure required
- 5 years clinical experience preferred
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Participation in Annual Influenza vaccine required.
