**Assembly and Maintenance Technician Role**
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Environmental Assembly and Maintenance Assistant.
This position involves assembling systems in the shop, installing and maintaining systems in the field, and performing general upkeep of equipment and tools.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and contributing to meaningful environmental projects.
During the winter, hours are part-time with the potential for full-time based on workload. In the summer, this position transitions to full-time seasonal work.
Responsibilities:
- Shop Work:
- Assemble system components, including PVC piping, fittings, and basic wiring (training provided).
- Use tools such as drills, saws, and other equipment to prepare materials.
- Maintain and organize shop tools, equipment, and inventory.
- Field Installation and Maintenance:
- Install and maintain systems in lakes and onshore environments.
- Conduct routine system checks and troubleshoot as needed.
- Perform both in-water and onshore tasks to ensure systems are operating effectively.
- General Maintenance:
- Assist with upkeep and basic maintenance of equipment, including vehicles, boats, and small motors.
- Support preparation and transport of equipment to project sites.
Requirements:
- Experience with power tools and basic assembly work (preferred, but training provided).
- Knowledge of PVC piping assembly and fittings is a plus.
- Physically fit, able to lift and move 50-75 pounds.
- Comfortable working in and around water (ability to swim required).
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive trucks with trailers.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
