Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for creating precise, detailed programs to operate our CNC machines that manufacture custom stair components. This role requires attention to detail, expertise in CNC machine operation, and a strong understanding of the stair manufacturing process. Some on-site work is required, but we are very flexible when it comes to a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for our two 5-Axis routers used in the production of custom stair components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to create accurate programs.
- Ensure CNC programs are optimized for efficiency, quality, and material usage.
- Work closely with the engineering and design teams to ensure program accuracy, while meeting production deadlines.
- Work with the machine operator to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines to verify programs produce correct parts and meet required tolerances.
- Assist technicians in the maintenance and calibration of CNC machines to ensure precision and prevent downtime.
- Monitor part quality throughout the production process and make necessary adjustments to programming or machine settings.
- Troubleshoot any programming issues or machine malfunctions to minimize production delays.
- Maintain detailed records of programming changes, production schedules, and machine performance.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC programming or manufacturing technology is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming, preferably in a custom manufacturing or, more importantly, a stair manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam, Fusion 360). AutoCAD & AlphaCAM preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machinery and programming techniques.
- Familiarity with stair components and their unique manufacturing requirements is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and CAD drawings.
- Understanding of materials and machining processes specific to stair components.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve programming or machine issues to maintain optimal production.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in measurements and ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to work effectively with team members, engineers, and management.

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
