Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator and Lead Food server to join our team. The ideal candidate will be open to long term employment, responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events, ensuring that each event runs smoothly and meets the expectations of clients and guests. The Event Coordinator will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences while managing all logistical aspects of the events. This position pays $16 hr base pay, plus coordination fees and tips.
This is a hybrid position, and includes lead serving when not planning, coordinating, working events and caters. Our prospect will have significant serving and customer service skills. We expect this position to be approx 30 hrs in the off season, and 40hrs June through October. Guaranteed minimum $16hr, with entry $6-7 hr base pay.
Responsibilities
- Must possess a passion for the food and beverage industry with a desire to help grow and mature our local establishment.
- Table side ordering, serving, while keeping consistency and quality controls.
- Memorizing and becoming familiar with all of our daily food and beverage offerings.
- Lead server also is responsible to help coordinate side work, delegate tasks, ensuring weekly needs are complete
- Ability to open the FOH, including cash drawers, opening tasks, preparing the team with overall preparation
- Anticipating a customers needs and delivering a premium dinner experience.
- Plan and execute events from conception to completion, including corporate meetings, weddings, fundraisers, and social gatherings.
- Collaborate with clients to determine event objectives, themes, budgets, and timelines.
- Coordinate logistics such as contracts, catering details, guest services, and on-site management during events.
- Develop and manage event budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the planning process and during events to ensure client satisfaction.
- Utilize upselling techniques to enhance event offerings and maximize revenue.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess successes and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Generally upbeat, positive and team work orientated.
- Proven track record with table side serving, and job longevity.
- Proven experience in event management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
- Knowledge of fundraising techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes related to event planning.
- Ability to work collaboratively with our diverse team and management
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 software is a huge advantage.
