Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Boat Service Writer / Front Counter Sales to join our growing team at Lake Tahoe Boat Company. As the first point of contact for customers, you will play a key role in providing excellent service, managing service requests, and assisting with parts and accessory sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of boating, mechanical services, and a passion for helping customers get their boats in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and address service inquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
- Create work orders and service tickets for boat repairs and maintenance.
- Advise customers on service needs and provide accurate cost estimates.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient service and repair timelines.
- Order parts and accessories as required for repairs or upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service history.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing timely follow-ups and updates.
- Assist in front counter sales, including selling parts, accessories, and service packages.
- Promote company services and products to potential customers.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the boating industry, marine service, or automotive service writing preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of boat mechanics and maintenance.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Sales experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using computers, service software, and general office equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform light physical tasks as needed.
