Works under the supervision of the Director and Environmental Services Supervisor. Specializes in the use of large automatic scrubbers, floor buffers, burnishers, wet/dry vacuums, vacuum cleaners, and the techniques of floor care. Helps train aides in use of equipment and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintains all floor surfaces at optimum cleanliness levels.
Maintains proper appearance of equipment at all times.
Assists in cycle cleaning, wall washing, and cleaning of furnishings.
Handles trash as may be necessary.
Must work overtime when required, and respond to emergency call-in when required by management.
Must be prepared to participate in fire brigade training and to respond to fire emergencies as prescribed by Department and Hospital Fire Plans.
Performs in acting capacity, as relief to group leader as necessary.
Participates in setting up for special functions including lifting and moving furniture.
Shift hours: 12pm-8pm
