What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infection Control Nurse Infection Control Nurse position at Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital?
DESCRIPTION:
- Has overall responsibility for administering, and managing the infection control program at Lake Taylor.
- The Infection Control Nurse is a professional nurse with advanced knowledge, skill, and competence in Infection Control.
- Serves as a resource to all hospital departments and medical staff as it relates to preventing disease transmission in all ages (pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
- Scheduled full-time hours, Monday-Friday.
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Knowledge of Infection Control Information systems and data collection methods.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse or LPN in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Minimum one (1) year experience in infection control practice or epidemiology.
