POSITION:
Full-time Police Officer (Lateral or OPOTA Certified Applicants Only)
STARTING SALARY:
$24 hourly plus monthly cell phone stipend of $40.00. Officers also receive access to all Lake Waynoka amenities.

- Set schedule with 3 straight days off.
- Current work schedule required Wed-Sat (Second Shifts)
BENEFITS:
- Paid weekly with PTO also accrued on a weekly basis.

SUMMARY:
The Lake Waynoka Police Department is currently hiring for one full-time police officer. Officers are responsible for public safety functions, enforcing state and federal laws, and civil POA enforcement. Lake Waynoka is a gated community located in Brown County, Ohio. The community is a peaceful retreat with numerous amenities located within the community. Lake Waynoka is equipped with it's own police department, front gate personnel (operating 24/7 and supervised by the Police Department), maintenance and street departments, as well as it's own water and sewer department. The lake offers residents amenities such as it's own lounge, recreation center (with full gym, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, indoor hot tubs, and indoor and outdoor pools), a lodge, restaurant, campground, marina, and much more.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
General patrol duties of streets and private amenities, responding to calls for service and assistance, community policing, investigations, crime prevention, arrests, evidence collection, issuing criminal and traffic citations, report writing, performing case/investigation follow-ups, and other assigned duties.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants MUST be OPOTA certified.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Experience is preferred, but not required.
