Job Summary:
The Part-Time Recreation Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing recreational activities, events, and programs for the Lake Wildwood Association. This role focuses on fostering a sense of community, ensuring residents have access to engaging activities, and managing event logistics to enhance the quality of life within Lake Wildwood
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develop, plan, and implement recreational programs, events, and activities that cater to a diverse range of interests and age groups.
· Coordinate and manage community events such as holiday celebrations, fitness programs, educational workshops, and social gatherings.
· Schedule and oversee facility rentals, ensuring proper setup, breakdown, and cleanliness.
· Promote events and programs through newsletters, social media, email campaigns, and bulletin boards.
· Manage registration, participant lists, and related documentation for activities and events.
· Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and local businesses to coordinate services, equipment, and supplies for events.
· Maintain accurate financial records for recreational activities, ensuring budgets are adhered to and providing detailed expense reports to the Director of Parks and Recreation
· Develop and maintain relationships with residents to gather feedback and improve future programming.
· Ensure compliance with Lake Wildwood Association policies, safety guidelines, and local regulations during all activities.
· Assist with other Lake Wildwood Association duties as assigned by the Director of Parks and Recreation
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
· Previous experience in event planning, recreation coordination, or community programming.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with residents and vendors.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
· Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
· CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
· Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
· Ability to stand, walk, and participate in outdoor activities for extended periods.
