Position Summary
Provides pharmaceutical care to patients in their area of specialty according to expert judgment and LRH policies and procedures. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist works within the scope of pharmacy laws and standards of practice to maximize benefit to the patient while minimizing associated costs. Functions include rounding as a member of the multidisciplinary team, when applicable, and to provide pharmacotherapeutic management for all patients in their respective service lines. He / she coordinates the development and implementation of drug therapy protocols to maximize benefits of drug therapy, and must identify opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of quality, safety, and costs, as well as patient, customer, and employee satisfaction.

Experience Essential : Successful completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency with at least two years of experience in area of specialty, or equivalent.
Experience Preferred : Successful completion of a PGY2 residency in area of specialty, or have at least three to four years of clinical experience in area of specialty.
