Pay Rate: Min $16.11 Mid $16.92 plus $3.75 per hour differential Position Summary
Cleans and services hospital floors. Cleans non-patient, public and common areas throughout the hospital. May hang cubicle curtains, window drapes and reach high areas for cleaning purposes. Operates a variety of mechanical stripping and shampooing equipment. Transports trash in and around hospital. On occasion will collect soiled linen and remove to collection site. Also on occasion will perform simple repetitive tasks in maintaining as assigned are of the hospital in an orderly and sanitary condition according to established procedures. Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around hospital departments and performs a variety of heavy housekeeping duties.

- Standard Work Duties: Environmental Maintenance Attendant
- Operates industrial type cleaning equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as not to cause possible injury to self or others. Documented by incident reporting system and supervisory observations.
- Moves furniture and equipment without damaging them or the surfaces within the moving parameters, i.e., walls, floors, etc.. Documented by incident reporting system and supervisory observations.
- Cleans carpet/floor areas throughout the hospital while performing with care, all cleaning procedures as has been instructed through training. Documented by supervisory observation.
- Selects, operates, and maintains correct fully automated ride-on and robotic equipment in performance of assigned duties to ensure correct application of their use, without causing damage to machines or building surfaces. Documented by supervisory observation.
- Selects proper cleaning materials and supplies from designated area to complete assigned task. Documented by supervisory observation.
- Prepares correct cleaning solutions for the assigned task so as not to cause damage to surfaces, rework or possible harm to self or others. Documented by supervisory observations.
- Certifies that all cleaning equipment has been cleaned when stored and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner. Documented by supervisory observations.
- May include sanitizing the room and restroom, empty the trash, mop floor and floor detailing.
- Cleans and prepares Housekeeping cleaning carts and ensure cart are stocked, ready and organized for the next shift.
- Governs own responsibility for adherence to personal appearance, dress and grooming standards per policy
- Provides communication and escalation to supervisor with any feedback that can be done to improve the patient experience.
- Improving our patient experience by optimizing staff with scripting for daily and discharge cleaning.
