Pay Rate: Min $16.11 Mid $16.92 Position Summary
Deliver care to patients under the direction from the Physical Therapist and under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, and must be able to perform satisfactorily the specific patient care skills as outlined by the facility and the department(s). Must effectively interact with patients, families, and other health team members. Must report pertinent information to the RN or licensed nurse assigned by the RN, as needed, and respond to requests for information in a timely manner. Shares responsibility for all aspects of patient and team functions.
Standard Work Duties: Rehabilitation Aide
- Actively participates in team development, achieving dashboards, and in accomplishing department goals and objectives.
- Under the direction from the Physical Therapist and under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, performs direct patient care, with emphasis on patient transfers and ambulation, utilizing established standards/competencies, policies and procedures so that optimum patient outcomes are achieved. Patient and staff safety are a priority in all activities.
- Assists the Rehab staff with daily work flow components, including inputting patient charges, patient scheduling, and routine secretarial duties
- Provide exceptional healthcare while maintaining good stewardship by effectively utilizing department resources and maintains a high level of productivity and efficiency to ensure consistent patient care.
- Functions as part of an interdisciplinary team. Collaborates with team members to ensure patient's well-being and promote optimum patient outcomes.
- Participates in the orientation and training of students and new staff.
- Utilizes measures to promote and maintain patient, visitor, and staff safety, including appropriate use of infection control principles and personal protection equipment.
- Maintains patient, employee, physician, and organization confidentiality; maintains HIPPA standards; respects the rights, privacy, and property of others.
- Promotes patient, physician, staff, and guest satisfaction by supporting the mission, values, and vision of LRH.
- Communicates effectively with team members, patients, and families using appropriate written and verbal communication skills. This includes ensuring patient care documentation is complete, accurate, and timely (vital signs, pt. readiness for activity, pain level, etc.) and observes patient for changes in condition or behavior and promptly reports these changes to appropriate RN or licensed nurse assigned by the RN, as needed, as well as to the Physical Therapist.

Qualifications & Experience

- High School or Equivalent
