Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including bussing tables and cleaning kitchen surfaces.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Support the culinary team by organizing clean dishes and assisting with inventory management.
- Participate in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, including sweeping and mopping floors.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities within the culinary team.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as required by the job duties.
