- If yes, Lakemary is looking for a Quality & Safety Monitoring Specialist for our Children's Service The primary function of this position is to ensure the safety and security of all staff and residents in a children's residential treatment facility during evening/weekend hours by assessing monitored areas via live camera feed for potential risk situations and communicate concerns promptly to floor staff and/or on-grounds supervisors. This role functions under dual general supervision of the Director of Quality Initiatives.
Quality & Safety Monitoring Specialist Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain program safety:
- Views live video feed in residential setting
- Monitor for activity of behavioral concern, regulatory violations, and/or violations of company policies/procedures.
- Provide immediate feedback regarding safety concerns.
- Review and analyze video documentation of behavioral incidents in both residential and school settings.
- Monitor for activity of behavioral concern, regulatory violations, and/or violations of company policies/procedures.
- Complete Risk Management reports in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with each child's treatment team to ensure necessary data is collected accurately and submitted timely
- Maintain a current understanding and compliance of KDADS, PRTF, and CARF regulations
- Maintains flexible schedule to address clinical needs
- Ensures accessibility during scheduled work hours
- Q/A Data Collection & Maintain backup:
- Gathers, compiles and enters QA data
- Assist with internal quality assurance efforts
- Interprets correlation and other measures to assess the significant differences, trends or relationships that exist among data.
- Helps identify barriers and opportunities for program improvement and works with others to recommend program changes to remove barriers and recommended specific program improvements.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, annual and "as requested" reports on data and associated trends in core and critical areas of performance.
- Completes special research and investigative projects regarding administrative and program problems and issues, as directed by supervisor.
- Monitors the progress toward meeting established goals and objective by compiling, reviewing and assessing reports and records to identify the cause and impact of problems.
- Provide coverage within the department assigned by supervisor.
An ideal candidate for this position has:

- Write clear and concise reports using correct grammar and punctuation.
- Operate personal computers, email, windows based software and telephones.
- Work any assigned shift, including late nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Read, write, and understand and relay simple instructions.
- Accurately perform all assigned job duties in a fast-paced environment, usually under strict time pressures, and usually with a high volume of phone calls and two-way radio traffic.
- Knowledge of surveillance equipment and related computer systems preferred.
Quality & Safety Monitoring Specialist Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Related experience in residential behavioral health and/or safety/security monitoring is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age
Other Job Details:
- Hours:12pm-10pm
- Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and then 1 other day during the week. (hours may be flexible on the weekends)
- Starting pay: $ 15.00/hour
