About us
As a behavior support DSP of Lakes Homes and Program Development, you will have successfully passed a criminal background study, through the state of Minnesota and will maintain a valid driver's license. You will be working primarily with adults with developmental disabilities or a related conditions who struggle with controlling impulse and responses, as well as possible mental health challenges. Some individuals are diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Some are quite capable of doing many things for themselves. Others are looking for you to assist them with almost all aspects of their daily living.
You will be implementing positive behavioral supports individually as a team. This will be done through building a trusting relationship with your individuals and your co-workers and following the concepts taught during orientation. A sense of humor and self-confidence are important.
All Direct Support Professionals are required to work every other weekend. Shifts vary from 8 to 16 hours, depending on the need of the individuals and the availability of the employee.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
