What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitorial/Maintenance Staff Member position at Lakes of Delray?
Lakes of Delray is a 55 and older community with over 2000 residents. We are looking for a new janitorial staff member to join the team making the clubhouse shine. We take pride in keeping our community and its facilities clean. You must have a valid US drivers license and reliable transportation.
Duties:
- Perform general janitorial duties to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and grounds.
- Check the calendar daily and inspect rooms prior to occupancy for events.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in the clubhouse.
- Empty trash bins and replace liners throughout the community.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces.
- Clean windows and glass surfaces.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements:
-Some experience required.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals properly.
-Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks like painting or replacing a toilet valve.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks.
-Ability to work both indoors and out.
-Available to work 6:30 am to 3:00 pm shift.
Note: Pay increase of $1/hr after 30 days of satisfactory performance.
