What are the responsibilities and job description for the MEDICAL ASSISTANT position at Lakeshore Family Practice?
Medical Assistant needed for a fast paced Family Practice Office.
Some of the many skills performed:
*Room patients and obtain vital signs, prepare patients for exam and procedures
*Assist the physician with procedures and document in the medical record as directed
*Phlebotomy
*Perform routine lab tests
*Prepare patient rooms and restock supplies for clinic. Inventory medical supplies and assist in ordering
*Administer prescribed injections and vaccinations
*Assist with scheduling and precert tests, procedures, surgeries
*Patient call backs and communicating results of labs, x-rays, tests with direction from physician
Education/License/Certification/Experience Requirements:
Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and coworkers
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a very busy clinical setting
Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills
Exhibit initiative and self discipline
Proven positive "teamwork" attitude and work history
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Medical Assistant Experience required
Medical Assistant Certification preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
