What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRF Traffic Controller position at Lakeshore Recycling Systems LLC?
The Traffic Controller is responsible to ensure safety of traffic flow / truck traffic in the facility.
- Ensure all personnel wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
- Keep work area and all surrounding areas clean.
- Reports all unsafe work conditions or equipment issues immediately to Manager.
- Attend and participate in safety meetings.
- At the Transfer Station you will be responsible for covering other roles as necessary to ensure workflow stays consistent.
- Will be responsible for the site housekeeping and cleanliness.
- Will be responsible for inspecting and grading loads.

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors
- Requires bending, pushing, pulling, twisting and lifting material, sometimes in excess of 50 lbs.
- Requires working in indoor and outdoor conditions which are dusty and noisy.
- Requires working in a physical environment that will expose employees to weather extremes
- Requires working for long periods of time while standing
