Lakeshore Talent is working alongside a reputable hospital system in Lakewood, CO in their search for a Patient Access / Registration Representative to assist in registering patients, entering demographic information, and verifying insurance information.
CONTRACT LENGTH : 3 months to start with potential for extension or hire
PAY : $23-25 / hour, depending on experience
SHIFT : Monday-Friday; day shifts
This role focuses on creating a welcoming experience for individuals seeking services, whether they are patients, visitors, or staff. Responsibilities include assisting with initial intake, gathering necessary personal and financial details, and ensuring accurate documentation in the system. Additionally, the role involves verifying coverage, discussing financial obligations, and collecting payments when applicable.
Key duties :
- Handling intake processes, verifying coverage, managing payments, and providing customer support.
- Maintaining accuracy and confidentiality while entering information into electronic records.
- Using digital tools to confirm benefits and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Guiding individuals through required procedures and addressing inquiries with professionalism.
- Supporting new team members through training and mentorship.
- Ensuring a smooth workflow by addressing any issues that may arise.
- Collaborating with financial counselors when payment assistance is needed.
Preferred qualifications :
Because this position is in a healthcare setting, immunization records must be up-to-date (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Flu, Covid-19).
