Lakeshore Talent is partnered with a well-established real estate management firm in downtown Denver in their efforts to find an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations for a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and working closely with internal teams to support strategic decision-making.
Pay: $35-38/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Track income and expenses for multiple properties to maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle reconciliations for shared expenses among tenants.
- Assist with lender reporting and financial documentation as needed.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal financial policies.
- Oversee invoicing, collections, and tenant account management.
- Manage vendor payments, review contracts, and ensure timely processing of invoices.
- Coordinate year-end reporting and tax documentation.
- Monitor financial trends, cash flow, and forecasting to anticipate financial needs.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and integrating them into property management software.
- Track capital expenditures, tenant improvements, and lease-related financials.
- Prepare supporting documentation for audits and tax filings.
- Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
- Collaborate with property management and leadership to improve financial efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Prior experience in real estate or property management accounting, preferred
- Proficiency with industry-specific software such as Yardi or Appfolio
