LOCATION: Lakeshore College – Cleveland, Wisconsin
POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinate the lifecycle of grants through the identification and alignment of potential state, federal and private support for Lakeshore programs, services and operations and ensure compliance with funding source guidelines in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the programs and services incorporating external funding. Provide an exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers throughout every interaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Other duties may be assigned):
- Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of the grant development for securing funding to support college initiatives.
- Responsible for developing external grant proposals focusing on state and federal funding. Complete grant proposals, which include working with a team of subject matter experts (administrators, faculty, staff, partners) to gather data; design activities; create evaluation plans; assist with budget development; write, edit, and submit grant applications.
- Support the Lakeshore Grant Council to develop, implement, and evaluate annual and long-range grant funding plans; to identify college projects for which funding is desired and develop strategies to obtain funding and corresponding timelines.
- Research and identify potential grant sources, including state, federal, and local agencies, companies, and foundations, as well as conduct searches on the internet, newsletters, and other sources.
- Work collaboratively with external stakeholders to develop collaborative proposals and partner opportunities.
- Coordinate and assist with data collection for grant development and proposals.
- Track current and potential funding by maintaining a spreadsheet/database of current grant awards and upcoming opportunities.
- Respond to requests to write proposals based on needs identified by Lakeshore leadership team and staff.
- Participate in Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) statewide grants initiatives as appropriate.
- Initiate grant implementation process including developing plans that clearly link project goals, outcomes, activities, timeframes, evaluation plan, spending targets, and staff assignments.
- Provide grant managers with direction and support in the monitoring, tracking, and reporting of grants.
- Implement fiscal procedures consistent with regulations and grant programs. Work with directors and Financial Services to ensure grant activities and funds are tracked and completed. Guide project managers and stakeholders through start-up steps, rule interpretation and follow-up with agency project officers, alternate acceptable spend down strategies, grant questions, and technical report writing of progress and completion.
- Ensure that Lakeshore complies with state and federal reporting guidelines determined by the funding agency.
- Coordinate the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to assist managers in making decisions and supporting grant activity.
- Represent the college on consortium grant conferences, meetings and project teams.
- Coordinate grant projects including reporting, evaluation, and assessment in collaboration with institutional research, data and procedures governance, and grant managers.
- Participate in the development, revision, and implementation of grant agreements and associated documents.
- Provide exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external stakeholders throughout every interaction.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a related discipline required.
- Three to five years of successful experience in the research, development, submission, and administration of government and privately funded grants required.
- Experience with business analytics software, such as Cognos preferred.
