SHIFT: Day/evening/weekend hours | Flexible based upon the needs of the College
LOCATION: Lakeshore College – Cleveland, Wisconsin
POSITION SUMMARY: This position performs research, collects, analyzes, and interprets data from various sources to provide insights and reports that support the College’s strategic and operational planning, decision-making, program evaluation, and institutional effectiveness. Key duties include extracting meaningful information from complex datasets, performing statistical analysis, identifying trends, and patterns, and translating findings into meaningful and understandable results. This position must maintain confidentiality and ethical business practices related to research and deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Other duties may be assigned):
(50%) Data Analysis and Report Development
- Collect data/information from multiple sources such as the student ERP system, Learning Management System (LMS), other internal/external databases, and relevant systems for analyzing and reporting pertinent data.
- Utilize relational databases to develop operational and executive-level reports and dashboards.
- Clean and standardize data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform statistical analysis, data mining, data modeling, and trend analysis of data/information using analytical tools and techniques.
- Translate data/information into clear, understandable reports and dashboards.
- Forecast trends using predictive analytics to identify potential future trends and opportunities based on historical trends.
- Communicate key findings & insights from data analysis to college stakeholders.
- Create reports and provide data to support and monitor progress of accreditation processes and requirements.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis for evaluation of academic programs and overall college success.
- Provide data analysis and support for grant activities
- Track, analyze, and monitor benchmarks, targets, and progress for key performance measures (KPI)
- Responsible for keeping the Strategy & Fast Facts intranet pages (Bridge) up to date
- Respond to ad hoc requests for specific data analysis and provide timely results that supports decision-making.
(35%) Quality Review and Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with Quality and Improvement Manager regarding improvement planning
- Perform systematic review and evaluation of academic program performance.
- Provide support for accreditation and improvement planning systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement based on analysis findings.
- Provide consultation and support to college personnel for accreditation and improvement planning.
- Serve on the Process and Data Governance committee and other committees as assigned.
- Participate in WTCS state-wide committee activities related to institutional research and reporting, as applicable.
(15%) Research
- Perform research functions to evaluate program effectiveness and student outcomes.
- Coordinate the research process for adding, suspending, and discontinuing academic programs.
- Perform employer needs assessments, and occupational and competitive analysis to identify labor market trends.
- Assist with Wisconsin Technical College System surveys deployment and submission.
- Coordinate and perform the College’s environmental scan
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in statistics, economics, computer science, mathematics, or related discipline required.
- Three to five years of relevant occupational experience required.
