What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Housekeeping Supervisor position at Lakeside Hotel Casino?
The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the operation of the Facilities Housekeeping department, assigning daily cleaning duties to team members and completing administrative duties as assigned.
Expected Contributions include and other duties may be assigned:
- Assign daily cleaning duties to staff.
- Inspect all areas of the casino, public areas, and team member areas to ensure cleanliness.
- Inventory and order all required cleaning supplies for use by the Facilities Housekeeping team.
- Carry radio and answer all requests from departments.
- Perform the duties of a Facilities Housekeeper as needed.
- Lead by example and handle any problems that may arise.
- Must be knowledgeable in the proper use of commercial cleaning chemicals, vacuums, pan brooms, mopping and proper sanitation of surfaces.
- Able to understand MSDS sheets and safety regulations.
- Keep open lines of communication with Facilities Manager and management.
- Assists guests with any questions they may have or requests.
- Maintain an open line of communication with Supervisors and Managers concerning all Housekeeping and Guest Service related issues.
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with fellow Team Members, Guests and Vendors.
- Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Excellent employee and customer service skills are essential.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:
Must be able to obtain and maintain and Iowa Gaming License.
