Overview
Our Truck Sales Representative will be responsible for selling new and used Medium and Heavy-duty trucks in accordance with the dealership’s market share objectives.
Responsibilities
Meet or exceed sales objectives for new truck and used truck deliveries
Prospect for customers in a designated territory or assigned account list
Proactively identify and engage prospective truck-buyers – developing strategies to grow relationships
Provides assistance to customers who can benefit from Lakeside products and services – including walk-in and call-in customers
Prepare quotes and proposals, provide test drives, and perform presentations highlighting truck features
Use all reasonable methods of prospecting for customers by telephone, making calls or stopping in at businesses outside of the dealership
Utilization of the CRM system
Qualifications
Confident and possesses a positive, can-do attitude
An excellent communicator, including an awareness of others and the ability to listen with clarity
Savvy in utilizing computers, internet, social platforms and digital technology to research and connect with truck buyers
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Experienced in B2B sales and/or has commercial equipment sales experience
Committed to continuously increasing knowledge of truck and equipment specifications and updates
The ability to operate under high pressure situations and maintain self-composure in the face of challenging circumstances
Competitive
Educational Requirements
A college graduate with an emphasis in Business or equivalent knowledge and experience in medium and heavy-duty trucks or the automobile industry is preferred. A CDL license (or ability to obtain one) and a Wisconsin State Salesperson License (or ability to obtain one) are required or 2 years of sales experience in an unrelated field.
