Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist who loves animals to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our clients and their furry friends, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Client Interaction:
- Greet clients and visitors warmly and professionally.
- Answer phone calls and emails promptly and courteously.
- Handle client inquiries regarding services, pricing, and policies.
- Provide information about the kennel's facilities and services.
- Prefrom tour for new clients when requested.
- Assist with pet check-ins and check-outs.
Scheduling and Record Keeping:
- Schedule appointments for boarding, daycare, grooming, and other services.
- Collect and record accurate information about pets, including medical history, dietary requirements, and special needs.
- Maintain client records and update necessary information in the database.
- Confirm reservations and collect information from owners.
Administrative Tasks:
- Process payments and handle cash transactions.
- Prepare invoices and receipts.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Perform other clerical duties as needed.
Kennel Support:
- Assist with basic kennel tasks, such as feeding, watering, and cleaning.
- Monitor pets for signs of distress or illness.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the animals in their care.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with kennel staff and other departments.
- Collaborate with kennel staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of pet care and behavior (preferred).
- Ability to handle cash transactions and make change.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable with all dog breeds, including Pitbulls and other Bully breeds.
- Must be comfortable with cats.
