Lawn Care Manager Fertilization Division
JOB SUMMARY The Lawn Care Manager Fertilization Division is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fertilization process within our organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient, effective, and environmentally responsible fertilization practices are implemented and maintained. You will manage a team of fertilization specialists, coordinate with agricultural experts, and liaise with suppliers to ensure the availability of quality fertilizers. Your leadership will drive the division towards achieving production targets while adhering to regulatory standards and promoting sustainable agriculture practices.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage a team of fertilization specialists, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure high performance and cohesion within the team.
- Delegate tasks effectively, set clear objectives, and monitor progress to ensure timely and quality execution of fertilization activities.
Operational Oversight:
- Develop and implement fertilization plans and schedules based on crop requirements, soil analysis, and seasonal factors.
- Monitor fertilization operations closely to ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the procurement and utilization of high-quality fertilizers and additives that meet industry standards and organizational requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on fertilization equipment and materials to maintain optimal performance.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with agronomists, agricultural engineers, and researchers to optimize fertilization techniques and improve crop yields while minimizing environmental impact.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive pricing, timely delivery, and consistent supply of fertilizers and related products.
Budgeting and Resource Management:
- Prepare and manage budgets for the fertilization division, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective operations.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the fertilization process.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of fertilization activities, including application rates, timing, and outcomes.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, achievements, and areas for improvement.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Strong verbal and written communications
· Quick, sound decision-making abilities
· Proven experience as a Lawn Care Manager Fertilization Division or similar role.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
· IT competent, good integration skills with software
· Excel in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
· Education and/or experience of PHC and fertilization
· Demonstrated knowledge of plant and landscape materials
· Demonstrated knowledge of and use of applicator equipment and technology
· Demonstrated knowledge of snow plowing, salting, front end loaders, bobcats, etc.
· Ability to diagnose and apply appropriate treatment through IPM
· Valid Driver's License, in good standing, and clean driving record
· Be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run
· Strong ability to multi-task, stay organized, and communicate effectively
· Ability to work a full time position as by determined by seasonal fluctuations
· Positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times

· Commercial Pesticide Applicator License -3A, 3B and 6

WORKWEEK
A typical work week is eight (10) hour days, five (5) days per week.
Extended hours may be required during peak periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
