Position Overview:
We are a countertop fabrication and installation company seeking a friendly and professional Showroom assistant to join our team. As the first point of contact for our showroom, this person will be responsible for providing a welcoming experience to guests, managing phone inquiries, and assisting customers with viewing countertop materials. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a warm personality, and the ability to make guests feel at ease.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist customers as they enter the showroom for scheduled appointments or walk-ins.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner, providing information and addressing customer inquiries.
• Help customers view and understand countertop materials, offering basic guidance on product selections.
• Manage appointment schedules and customer communications via Microsoft Outlook and email.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming showroom environment.
• Support the sales team with additional administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
• Excellent telephone skills with a friendly and courteous demeanor.
• Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a variety of customers.
• Strong Data Entry Skills.
• Outgoing and positive personality, comfortable engaging in conversation and hosting showroom guests.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook for calendar appointments and email communication.
• Prior experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
• Interest in home design, building materials, or countertops is a plus.
• Available to work M-F and some Saturdays
