LOCATION: Laketown & Lee Elementary Schools (Travel) |

CONTRACT PERIOD: 180 days |
|
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator’s License with elementary art endorsement
- Experience in Art instruction preferred
- Knowledge of current curriculum, instructional trends, and school improvement process
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide developmentally appropriate and diverse instruction in Art education
- Establish and implement appropriate procedures for assessing student learning
- Plan age-appropriate Art events and/or special projects to help maintain students’ interest in Art
- Work with teaching staff to correlate Art instruction with other subjects and to address the school-wide focus areas
- Actively participate in appropriate professional development activities for staff
- Contribute as a team member and/or leader to all school improvement initiatives
- Maintain a classroom climate and management plan conducive to learning
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, the public, and staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
