Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Director to oversee and manage the maintenance operations at our facility. The ideal candidate will have expertise in minor plumbing, electrical, & HVAC maintenance. The candidate will also be responsible for effective responses to equipment breakdowns/repairs and ensure that efficient and cost effective action is taken. Our ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and has a passion for the elderly. Lakeview Assisted Living is a family owned business that takes pride in the care of our residents, building, and grounds.
Responsibilities:
- Required to be on call and respond to maintenance emergencies, as needed.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities
- Conduct all required emergency drills and ensure proper documentation
- Inspect grounds, facility, and equipment routinely to determine the necessity of repairs of maintenance
- Snow removal (must be able to shovel, salt, & operate a plow truck)
- Periodic errand running for supplies and components
- Painting/touch up of hallways, apartments, offices, common areas, etc.
- Apartment flips/restoration done in a timely and quality manner
- Take ownership of and ensure compliance with Licensing Rules for Homes for the Aged
- Communicate with staff, residents, and families on any maintenance repairs, concerns and requests
- Communicate with the Owner and Administrator on the status of projects and any maintenance issues or concerns.
- Knowledge of good body mechanics with the understanding of being on your feet much of the day along with bending, stooping, turning, stretching and may need to perform some heavy lifting. Assistive devices to prevent injury will be available if needed.
