About the Department
The Oncology Infusion team at Lakewood Health System is dedicated to delivering exceptional, compassionate care to patients receiving oncology and non-oncology infusion treatments. The team is committed to fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient safety, innovation, and high-quality outcomes.
Mission for Position
The Oncology Infusion Charge Registered Nurse ensures the smooth operation of daily infusion services, providing leadership to the team while delivering top-tier, patient-centered care.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of oncology and non-oncology infusion services, including staffing, workflows, and patient care coordination.
- Manage patient flow, ensuring readiness, room assignments, and accurate documentation.
- Provide support to staff, answer questions, and assist with patient care tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and address any challenges.
- Mentor and lead nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with healthcare standards.
- Serve as the primary contact for providers, pharmacists, and clinic staff for infusion-related communications.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota.
- Minimum of three years of oncology/infusion experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
