About the Internship
Are you a pre-dental student seeking hands-on experience in a thriving dental practice? Our Pre-Dental Internship Program is designed to provide undergraduate students or gap year students with meaningful exposure to the clinical and administrative aspects of dental care, preparing you for the rigors of dental school and a future career in dentistry.
You will work under the close supervision of experienced dental assistants and dentists, gaining increasing responsibility as your skills grow. This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your knowledge of dentistry, build your professional network, and strengthen your dental school applications.
Program Structure
- Duration: May 20 – August 15, 2025
- Orientation: Mandatory full-day orientation on May 20
- Time Commitment: Interns are expected to be present for the majority of the internship period (maximum of 5 excused days)
- Training: 2–3 weeks of onboarding and training at the beginning of the internship
- Supervision: Direct mentorship and oversight from licensed dental professionals
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care Support: Assist in patient preparation, help patients feel comfortable, and provide basic explanations of procedures.
- Clinical Assistance: Learn to take X-rays, sterilize dental instruments, prepare materials, and assist dentists during various procedures.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict sterilization and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic clinical environment.

- Clinical Competence: Familiarity with dental tools, techniques, and assisting in procedures such as fillings and extractions.
