Job Summary / Basic Function :
SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION : The Accounting Clerk Is responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing duties for the daily operations of the Cashiers Office. This position assists with third party contracts and collections. The Accounting Clerk I is a non-exempt position, and reports directly to the Director of Finance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Processes payments of tuition and miscellaneous fees
- Reconciling system and cash drawer daily
- Issues Short Term Loans
- Assists with 1098-Ts
- Processes accounts payable after checks are printed
- Processes payroll checks after checks are printed
- Enters students into system for testing
- Assists Financial Aid Department
with student loan money received by check not direct deposit
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : The physical demands are those consistent with working in an office environment.
