Job Summary :
Adjunct position to teach Government courses. The courses are traditionally taught in the day, evening, and / or online. Locations for classes include Port Arthur campus, dual-enrollment, or Early College High School, with possible opportunity to teach in a correctional facility.
Minimum Qualifications :
A Masters degree in political science is required, or a Masters degree with 18 hours of graduate work in political science.
Ability to work with students, faculty, and staff members in a professional manner.
Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects ad assignments.
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, speak, listen, and see. The employee is occasionally required to sit, lift, pull, and carry objects.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience teaching in a two-year college or university.
Salary :
Depends upon course load per semester.
Work Hours :
May include day, evening, and / or online classes.
