What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Assistant for Seawall Cafe position at Lamar State College-Port Arthur?
Assist the cafeteria personnel during operations. Duties may include: clean-up of the kitchen and dining spaces, use the cash register, serve food, replenish items, answer phone, and deliver food orders on campus. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be in good academic standing and maintaining satisfactory academic progress. Must maintain a 2.0 GPA or better. Must be enrolled at least a half-time basis of at least six hours during the Fall/Spring semesters, or at least three semester hours during each of the summer sessions, for a total of six semester hours. Must be a citizen of the United States, a U.S. national or permanent resident.
Preferred Qualifications
Physical condition sufficient to permit standing and walking for long periods of time; sufficient to lift and carry moderately heavy items. Requires constant standing, walking, and seeing. Requires frequent sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects up to 25 - 50 pounds. Required to reach for items above your head. Requires infrequent stooping, bending, and climbing.
Salary 7.25 hourly Work Hours Students can work at least 20 hours a week but, they cannot exceed 20 hours a week.
